Edwards and Gary O'Neil Included in Wolves Head Coach Candidates

Edwards and O'Neil represent the early names in the frame to succeed the former manager as head coach of Wolves.

The previous coach was dismissed on the weekend following the team's ten-game without a victory beginning to the Premier League campaign.

And both candidates - both of who have historic links to the team - are part of the names to be evaluated by the club ownership.

The manager is presently at Middlesbrough, which would pose a potential hurdle to his appointment at Wolves' stadium.

However the ex- Luton manager - who made over a century of appearances for Wolves during his playing career - is said to be a leading candidate for the vacancy.

The mid-career manager is said to have support from the club directors as they begin the process of appointing a new manager.

Gary O'Neil is additionally appearing as a surprise contender, although he would be a shock choice given he was sacked by the club in December last year.

The ex- West Ham player is currently unemployed meaning Wolves would not need to pay any buyout fee.
